Week 1 is done!
Woohoo I competed my first week. It was def a challenge in regards to getting started but I am glad I started. In the first week I lost 8.2 pounds, that's amazing! I understand not every week will be like that and I always tend to lose a lot of weight right off the bat then I slow down. I have been sticking to my food plan and staying on track. The one thing I think has kept me on track is writing EVERYTHING down in my food journal, this way I know what I've already eaten and what I have left to eat. I like to fill it out the day before and plan my meal for the following day so I know I have everything on hand. I can't wait until I can start to feel/see the results vs just the numbers on the scale, can't wait until my appearance starts to change. My husband has promised me a shopping spree for new clothes when I meet my goal....I have a long ways to go but I am going to hold him to that promise. Here's hoping that week 2 goes just as great!

Day 6
Almost done with week 1 woohoo!!! I am proud to report I am down almost 6 lbs in the past 6 days, not bad at all! Yesterday of course was St. Patrick's Day and I did my yearly corned beef in the crock pot with a bottle of beer.....I also made grilled shrimp for me :). However, I did have a taste of the corned beef just to make sure it came out ok.
I have to say everything has been so easy this past week, they def streamline everything and I feel like i have plenty of options of food to eat. I do find it's easier for me to stay on plan while I am at work vs at home. At work I am constantly busy that I can't munch, at home though If I get bored I tend to want to go eat something so just trying to get that out of my mind is a challenge and I imagine it will remain a challenge as the weeks go on, but hopefully I can overcome it eventually. But at least I am holding back and not giving in and that's what's important.

Day 3
Today was day 3 and I got to eat!!! I lost 3lbs so far woohoo! My challenge is eating my proteins everything else is easy. I still have a yogurt and apple left to eat tonight. I def need to hit up the grocery store for a few things, greek yogurt counts as a protein and will be easier for breakfast.
I had my health assessment at work today....I need to raise my good cholesterol, my bad cholesterol wasd in the normal range and I was at a very low risk for diabetes. However my numbers can be improved so I will focus on getting those in an excellent range.

Day 1 and Day 2
My diet started 3/13/13, the first 2 days you do a detox, probably the hardest 2 days of the plan. You drink 4 servings of there juice during the day, and you can eat unlimited proteins and certain veggies and that's it.
For breakfast I ate 5 egg whites and some sirloin steak.....never had steak for breakfast but it wasn't to bad. I munched on cucumbers during the day. For lunch I needed grilled chicken since i hadn't had a chance to grill mine before work. I went to a local Mexican food joint hoping I could just get a side of grilled chicken and lettuce......I gave the cashier my order and got the weirdest look. Yes, all I want is grilled chicken and lettuce that is all I can have...."Would you like beans on it at least? Or some cheese? Or tomatoes or guacamole or sour cream???" No, while all that sounds very delicious I can't eat it, all I need is chicken and lettuce. So she was able to work that out for me. She still looked at me like I was crazy and said she couldn't eat like that, I looked at her and she was skinny and I thought to myself be lucky you don't have to eat like this. I tried to explain the diet and I get a look of you are crazy!
My grilled chicken on lettuce was very good...I actually ended up ordering another side of chicken to help keep me full longer.
By the time I got home from work for dinner I was hungry! Luckily my husband had grilled all my chicken for me so I ate some of that but I also made a steak and broccoli stir fry with 1 tablespoon of Teryaki. It was ok, the meat was a bit tough.
I feel it was a great day 1, can't wait for the 2 day takeoff to be over so I can have other foods!!
Day 2 has begun, again I made scrambled egg whites with steak and had my 8oz glass of take off juice. It was good, doesn't compare to bacon eggs and sausage but that is why I am here right? Since I made about a weeks worth of grilled chicken yesterday I plan to eat LOTS of chicken today. I hope the marinade was ok to use for these 2 days, it's diet 7up and soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of olive oil and I used it on 4.5 lbs of chicken, you marinate it overnight. It's very good, It actually calls for a lot more oil but I left most of it out, and you pour off all the marinade anyways so not sure how much penetrates the meat itself. Either way it leaves you with very tender and juicy chicken that I prefer to eat cold chopped up on a bed of lettuce. I am sure my day will consist of more cucumbers and of course my take off juice. But hey tomorrow is day 1 of the rapid results plan I can't wait! Also tomorrow I am getting a health screening done to check all sorts of things so hopefully the results aren't horrible.
